Appliance repair service areas
Are you looking for appliance repair near you, and wondering whether someone will actually come to your home? When a fridge warms up or a washer stops mid-cycle, that is usually the first question. Appliance Handyman is a mobile appliance repair service. We visit houses and condos across Toronto, York, Peel, Durham, and Barrie. This page explains how coverage works and which number to call. Each city has its own page for the housing we see there.
How mobile coverage works
Comfort and food safety are why the visit matters. A warm fridge puts groceries at risk. A washer that will not drain leaves wet clothes in a pile. A dishwasher that fails after dinner turns the sink into the rest of your night. You can rest assured we diagnose the machine in your kitchen or laundry, not from a photo alone.
A technician comes to you with common parts. You get a parts-and-labour quote before work starts. Diagnosis is applied to the repair when we complete the job. Completed work includes a 3-month service warranty. Keep in mind that same-day visits depend on when you call: weekdays 8am–11pm and weekends 8am–10pm.
Call 416-800-9206 in Toronto, 905-963-0067 in York, Peel, or Durham, or 705-999-8533 in Barrie. We are happy to help you choose the right line if you sit on a boundary like Thornhill or Bradford.
Which phone to use
- 416-800-9206 — Toronto, North York, Etobicoke, Scarborough
- 905-963-0067 — Vaughan, Concord, Maple, Woodbridge, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Markham, Aurora, Newmarket, Stouffville, King City, Nobleton, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa
- 705-999-8533 — Barrie and Bradford
Concord is a city we serve, the same as Maple or Vaughan. That means an in-home visit around Highway 7, Keele, and Jane — not a drop-off counter. You book a window and we come to you. Call us if you are not sure which number fits your street. We are happy to help.
How to choose a mobile repair service
With so many companies listed online, it can be quite a feat to know who will actually arrive. One of the first things you should think about is whether a technician comes to your home. Ask for a phone a person answers. Ask for a named technician, not a lead that gets passed along. Ask when you get a price: after diagnosis, before work starts. Ask what happens if you say no: you pay for the visit, not for a repair you declined.
There are several things to consider before you book. A very low phone price that grows on site is one. A no-show is another. So is a second visit for a cheap part that was never priced on the first trip. Store warranties that wait a week or two for a factory technician are a different kind of service. We are the same-day option when you want the machine running again in your home.
What a visit costs
These are ranges we see on completed jobs, not a menu. You get a number after diagnosis, so you can decide with the facts in front of you. Depending on your needs, repair is often the right choice for your home. If the quote no longer makes sense, we will say so.
- Dishwasher: often $150–$300
- Washer: many repairs under $200
- Fridge: if the estimate is over about $700 on an older unit, we discuss replacement
