Lg Dishwasher Error Codes

Is your LG dishwasher displaying error codes? The error code being displayed indicates that there is a problem with the diagnostic system. Once you identify the code, you will be able to address the problem. Listed below are the many error codes the LG dishwasher could display.

LG-appliance-repair

OE Error Code:

The machine is detecting a drain problem. Typically, this is from clogged food or probably an installation problem. Look at the buttons on the monitor to enable draining. To complete a DRAIN ONLY select the CANCEL & DRAIN option. If the draining did not resolve the issue, you may require a professional service.

LE and CE Error Code

The LE and CE error code that the dishwasher displays on the monitor informs you that there is a problem with the operation of the motor.

You can repair the LE error code by completing these steps:

  1. First turn off the dishwasher by pressing the power button
  2. For 10 seconds, unplug the dishwasher.
  3. Plug the dishwasher back in or switch the circuit breaker on.
  4. To turn the dishwasher on, press the power button.
  5. Start a new loop to see if the error is erased.

The error code LE should be resolved this way.

HE Error Code

The HE error code on your LG dishwasher indicates that a heating problem has occurred with the heater.

If the dishwasher is unable to heat the water, or if the water is overheated, this error code will show up.

Here’s what you can do in order to remove the HE errors code:Turn off the dishwasher by pressing the power button.

  1. Turn off the dishwasher by pressing the power button.
  2. For 10 seconds, unplug the dishwasher.
  3. After those 10 seconds plug it back in.
  4. Turn on the dishwasher by pressing the power button.
  5. Re start a fresh wash cycle.

Fe Error Code

The FE error means that there is excess water in the unit, and the drain pump is immediately powered on by the dishwasher.

Usually, this can be overcome by completing the following steps:

  1. Click the power button and turn off the dishwasher.
  2. For 10 seconds, unplug the dishwasher.
  3. Plug back the dishwasher in.
  4. To turn the dishwasher back on, push the POWER button.
  5. Launch a new cycle of washing.

This should have the FE error code repaired.

E1 Error Code

Error code E1 means a leak in the device has probably occurred.

These leaks are a consequence of improper installation of the dishwasher, incorrect detergent being used or the dishes have not been loaded properly.

To get this error corrected:

  1. Test the drain hose
  2. This could cause excessive leakage if the drain hose outlet is located lower than the base of your LG dishwasher.
  3. If the drain hose is lower than the foundation, this may cause an E1 error.
  4. For a syphoning problem, check the drain hose.
  5. To prevent water from being syphoned out of the tub, the position of the drain hose end should be above 10′ from the bottom of the dishwasher.
  6. Check for fractures or damages to your drain hose that can cause the water to leak.
  7. If the above problems are present, replace the dishwasher drain hose with a new one.

PF Error Code

Your LG dishwasher’s PF error code alerts you that a power failure has happened.

In the event of a power outage, this role is to secure your dishwasher. Press and hold any button on the controls of your dishwasher for 10 seconds to clear the monitor when power is restored and restart the cycle.

tE Error Code

On the panel of your dishwasher, the tE error code indicates a thermal error. This occurs if the temperature of the water is above 194 degrees Fahrenheit. Furthermore, this error code may also occur when the thermistor has a problem. Usually, the tE error code indicates a new thermistor is needed for your dishwasher.

iE or 1E Error Code

An IE error code on your LG dishwasher shows that after filling the water for 10 minutes, the water level didn’t get high enough and the water does not drain correctly into the dishwasher.

To get this error corrected:

  1. Ensure that the valve for the water supply is in an open position.
  2. Be careful not to curve, kink, or clog the water supply line.
  3. To test the flow of water, cut the water supply line on the dishwasher and run water into a bucket.
  4. Replace the water inlet valve if the washer still has an error.

If any of these solutions do not seem to work, it means you need to call in for a professional repair service to assist you in tackling the issue. Contact Appliance Handyman today to repair your dishwasher errors today!
